Additional CTC Templates for PI

Use

In addition to the mandatory basic configuration templates, the following additional CTC templates are optional. SAP Note 1286428 Information published on SAP site gives an overview on all CTC templates for PI configuration.

Specific Scenarios

  • PI SLD Self Registration

    This template registers PI components and creates the Integration Server business system again after patch update or restart, if needed.

  • PI Full Qualified Host Name

    This template allows access to PI monitoring from a client outside your network domain or access to a remote central System Landscape Directory.

  • PI SSO Configuration

    This template allows you to set up Single Sign-On between the PI components.

  • PI Demo Client

    This template configures clients 105, 106, 107 for the PI demo scenario. This is not supported for systems upgraded from XI 3.0 or SAP NetWeaver 7.0.

  • Adapter Engine in JPR Mode

    This template configures the Advanced Adapter Engine to run in Java Proxy Mode only.

    This template reads PI system parameters from the system and offers recommendations for an overall consistent configuration of PI.

  • PI Self Test for SAP NetWeaver

    This template checks the PI configuration.

    This template creates a Java background job that calls the PI Self Test for SAP NetWeaver every 24 hours.

  • PI Upgrade EHP

    This template executes follow up activities automatically after applying an enhancement package.

  • Adapter Engine Upgrade

    The Adapter Engine must be installed with the PI Installer (SAPInst).

    After an upgrade of a non-central Adapter Engine, this template creates the Java RFC Destination XI_EXCHANGE_PROFILE .

    The manual configuration consists of the follwing steps:

    1. Create Java Destination XI_Exchange_Profile (if internal usage type is XPI and destinations do not exist). See Creating Destinations on the Java Server .

    2. Trigger UME Group Role Mapping for XI (if internal usage type is XPI). This is automatically carried out after Restart . To enforce this step manually, restart the application com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app .

    3. Trigger the SLD Registration of the Advanced Adapter Engine. See PI Component Registration in the SLD .

  • PI/ESR Support Package Update
