Basic Configuration for SAP Process Integration (PI)

Use

After you have completed the installation of SAP NetWeaver, you need to set up the basic configuration. Use the Central Technical Configuration (CTC) Wizard to automate the configuration tasks.

Use the CTC Wizard to perform the basic configuration steps for the following installation options:

  • SAP PI Standard Installation (PI) (SAP Note 1309239 Information published on SAP site)

  • Non-Central Advanced Adapter Engine (PI-AF) (SAP Note 1314855 Information published on SAP site)

Procedure

To start the CTC Wizard, perform the following steps:

  1. Start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator

    Specify the following information in your browser: http://<host>:<httpport>/nwa

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathConfiguration  Next navigation step Scenarios Next navigation step Configuration WizardEnd of the navigation path

  3. Choose Functional Unit Configuration UI

  4. Choose Functional Unit SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI)

  5. Choose Enable automatically

Manual Configuration

You can perform the basic configuration manually. The configuration steps are described in the section: Manual Configuration for SAP Process Integration (PI)

Single Sign-On

SAP PI is based on the usage types Application Server ABAP and Java. For this reason, in an SAP NetWeaver installation, Single Sign-On needs to be configured for AS ABAP and Java.
