Working With Analysis Applications on iOS
Analysis applications are Web applications that allow you to analyze data from SAP NetWeaver BW and SAP HANA. While accessing Analysis applications on the iOS device, you can perform a whole lot of actions to effectively fetch and analyze business data.
How do I filter data in a crosstab by using the filter panel?
- In the filter panel tap the arrow symbol right of the dimension name.
- In the Selection tab, tap the dimension members you want to use for the filter OR tap the dimension and type in the member directly.
- Tap Show Selected Members to see your selection.
- Tap Apply in the filter panel.
How do I adjust the column width for a crosstab?
Tap and hold the column header cell you want to adjust and choose Adjust Column Width.
How do I reorder dimensions on rows and columns?
In the header of the filter panel, tap group view symbol (rows or columns) to reorder the dimensions.
How do I assign dimensions to rows or columns of the result set?
- Tap either the rows or the columns symbol left of the chosen dimension.
- Tap Apply to display the change in the crosstab.
How do I define a greater or equal / less or equal range?
Greater or equal range:
- In the filter panel tap the arrow symbol right of the dimension name.
- In the Range tab, tap Starts at and tap the dimension member the range should start with.
- Tap Apply in the filter panel.
Less or Equal Range
- In the filter panel tap the arrow symbol right of the dimension name.
- In the Range tab, tap Ends at and tap the dimension member the range should end with.
How do I exclude a range?
- In the filter panel tap the arrow symbol right of the dimension name.
- In the Range tab, define the range.
- Tap Add To List.
- Tap Show Selected Ranges.
- Mark Exclude to exclude the members defined in the range.
- Tap Apply in the filter panel.
How do I define several ranges?
- In the filter panel tap the arrow symbol right of the dimension name.
- In the Range tab, define the range.
- Tap Add To List.
- Repeat the steps to define other ranges. Tap Show Selected Ranges, to see all defined ranges.
How do I define a range for dimension members?
- In the filter panel tap the arrow symbol right of the dimension name.
- In the Range tab, tap Starts at and tap the dimension member the range should start with.
- Tap Ends at and tap the dimension member the range should end with.
- Tap Apply in the filter panel.Note The range tab in the filter panel is only displayed for dimension members for which you can define a range.
