Maintain Exception Settings
Use
Use this process to define exception codes and the settings associated with them.
By exception, we mean some unexpected situation that may happen in the yard when you are executing yard tasks.
You can assign an exception code to a yard task for the system to execute the settings associated with this exception code in case of an unexpected situation.
Process
To execute exceptions in the system, maintain the following activities:

You can define the exception codes for a yard in Customizing for Define Exception Codes under .
Here, you can also assign an alert type to an exception code. You can use this alert type to trigger an alert that can be checked by a user using the alert monitor. For more information on alert monitors, go to SAP Help portal at http://help.sap.com

You can maintain the standard follow-on actions that the system must execute, in case an exception is raised, in Customizing for Maintain Follow-on Actions for Exception Codes under . The standard follow-on actions are as follows:

Block Source Location
The system blocks the source storage bin and you cannot execute any further activity on that storage bin.

Block Destination Location
The system blocks the destination storage bin and you cannot execute any further activity on that storage bin.

Block TU
You cannot execute any further action on the transportation unit.
