Inserting Internet Shortcuts using SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer

Use

2D and 3D files can be inserted into Microsoft Office by inserting an Internet shortcut. An Internet shortcut references a source file that resides in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Generator. The file in which the Internet shortcut is inserted is known as the destination document. When you insert an Internet shortcut into the destination document, either the image of the 2D source document or the model of the 3D source document is displayed.

Only certain files can be downloaded as an Internet shortcut. See the SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Access help reference for details. In addition, the following insertion rules apply:

  • Dragging is unavailable in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Linking, and linking and embedding is unavailable for Internet shortcuts to 2D content in PowerPoint.
