Lighting Modes

Use

Lighting modes are used to incorporate light settings in a scene. They are used to imitate different kinds of light sources such as the sun, office lamps, or stage and film lighting. The incorporation of such lighting modes results in a more realistic appearance by enhancing the clarity and three-dimensionality of a scene.

When the Lights from File mode is selected, any lights loaded from the scene file are activated, and their effect can be seen in the viewport. If no lights are contained in the Scene Tree window, then the CAD optimized light setup is used by default. Besides the lights from file mode, a number of other predefined lighting modes can be applied.
