File Menu

Use

The File menu is used to manage 2D and 3D files. The available options differ, depending on the current file type.

The following options are available from the File menu:

	Functional Description
Open	Opens a 3D file. If the 3D file is not supported by SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, a message displays in the Viewport.
Reload File	Reloads the currently open file.
Close	Removes the currently loaded scene or image from the Viewport.
Save	Saves the currently loaded file.
Save As	Allows you to save a copy of the currently loaded file. The default file type is always .vds. If you are working with .rh files, and wish to save to .rh, change the registry. For more information, refer to the SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer Administration Guide. Note You cannot save .cgm files. The save options are not available when you open a .cgm file.
E-Mail	Sends the currently loaded file as an attachment in an e-mail. The default e-mail client configured is used. Note When you e-mail a scene containing collaboration as a .vds file, a companion .xml file is also created and added to the e-mail
Print	Allows you to print the current view in the scene. The Print window allows you to configure your print configurations and settings before you print.

In addition to these options, a list of recently opened files is also available in the File menu (the last eight files that were loaded display).
