Functional Description

Attributes

  • Closed: Prevents sub-objects of the selected group from being individually selected. That is, the entire object group is selected when you select any sub-object in the viewport.

  • Selectable: Allows you to select the object in the 3D viewport

  • Immovable: The selected object cannot be transformed

  • Cast Shadows: The selected object casts shadows on the other objects in the scene, if the other objects are set to receive shadows

  • Receive Shadows: The selected object receives shadows that are cast by other objects in the scene, if the other objects are set to cast shadows

  • Visibility: Sets the type of visibility for the selected object

    • Default: Uses the default visibility setting for the selected object

    • Double-Sided: Applies the double-sided attribute to the selected object

    • Single-Sided: Applies a single-sided attribute to the selected object

Appearance

  • Render Method: Selects the render method of the object

  • Render Order: Selects the render order number for the scene. Objects are rendered in ascending orders. We recommend that render layering is kept to a minimum, as a large number of layers can affect performance.

  • Opacity: Determines the opacity of the object. As you reduce the opacity value, the object becomes more transparent.

  • Illustration Lines: Determines the opacity settings for lines when the object is in Illustration mode

    • Black Over Grey: Sets the opacity to 50 where the line silhouette of the object is black

    • Grey Over Black: Sets the opacity to 25 where the line silhouette of the object is grey

  • Smoothing Angle: Determines the smoothing angle

  • Local Smoothing Angle: Applies the selected smoothing angle. This setting changes the smoothing for the selected object and overrides any global smoothing settings. This option does not affect ray tracing results.

  • Wireframe Color: Determines the wireframe display color when using the wireframe display modes.
