Bone Tab Page

The Bone tab is available when you display the properties of an individual object that includes bones. It displays all information relating to the bones in the selected object including the bone length, radius, and the objects and vertices affected by the bone.

Elements |
Functional Description |
|
Length |
The length of the bone when it is resting in scene units. |
|
Function |
The function used to calculate how the skin attached to the bone is to be moved based on the bone movement. |
|
Minimum Radius |
The minimum radius of the bone. That is, the narrowest part of the bone. This is only applied to bones with limited ranges. |
|
Maximum Radius |
The maximum radius of the bone. That is, the widest part of the bone. This is only applied to bones with limited ranges. |
|
Weight Map |
The weight map that is applied to the bone. The weight map dictates how the bone moves. |
|
Strength |
The strength of the bone. This factor indicates how much the bone will affect the skin. |
|
Unlimited |
Skin is affected by bone movement by ignoring points on the skin that are closer than the minimum radius, and affecting points on the skin that are further than the maximum radius. Otherwise, all points on the skin are affected by bone movement. The radius is the area around the bone within which mesh points are influenced by bone movement. |
|
Weight Map Only |
Any deformations on the bones are solely based on the weight map and not the function. |
