Workspace
Use
The workspace is used to display the currently opened file. It comprises one or more viewports that are used to view and modify files; it comprises one viewport if the current file is 2D and, if the current file is 3D, it comprises multiple viewports from where different views of the same scene can be displayed. Note that the workspace is empty when SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author is first opened.

Viewports
The workspace includes viewports that are used to view and modify the current file. A viewport label is displayed in the top, left of the viewport showing the current view for each viewport, whether transparency and textures are on.
Various context menus are available depending on the current file type and where the cursor is positioned when you click. Double-clicking objects in the viewport displays the Object Properties windows.
