Alignment Tools

Use

The Alignment Tools are a set of tools used to control the alignment of objects in the viewport, primarily in 2D perspective.

Using the Alignment Tools, you can do the following:

  • Align objects in the viewport.

  • Equally distribute objects across the viewport, horizontally or vertically.

  • Center objects within the viewport, horizontally or vertically

Activities

Aligning Objects in the Viewport

Select the objects that you want to align and choose one of the corresponding icons from the Alignment Tools toolbar:

  • Align Left

  • Align Centre

  • Align Right

  • Align Left to Right

  • Align Right to Left

  • Align Top

  • Align Middle

  • Align Bottom

  • Align Top to Bottom

  • Align Bottom to Top

  • Distribute Horizontally

  • Distribute Vertically

  • Center Horizontally

  • Center Vertically

Distributing the Objects Evenly in the Viewport

Select the objects that you want to distribute and choose Distribute Horizontally to distribute the objects horizontally or Distribute Vertically to distribute the objects vertically in the viewport.

Centering Objects Within the Viewport

Select the object or objects that you want to center and choose Center Horizontally to center horizontally in the viewport or Center Vertically to center vertically in the viewport.
