Zoom Tools
Use
You use these tools to magnify or reduce the magnification of images and scenes, display them as they best fit within the viewport, and display them in their standard view.
Note that for 2D images, this standard view is the image’s actual size. For 3D scenes, it refers to the scene’s standard camera view.
When you zoom in on a scene, the camera angle (FOV) is narrowed to magnify scene. When you zoom out from a scene, the camera angle is widened to reduce the magnification.
Activities
Zooming in on an Image
Select the 2D viewport and do one of the following:

Right-click the 2D viewport, click Zoom In, hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse into the viewport center.

Press the plus sign (+).
Zooming in on a Scene
Select the 3D viewport and do one of the following:

Click Zoom Window in the Navigation toolbar, and drag in the viewport. The selection is magnified to the selection’s extents.

Press the plus sign (+)
Zooming out from an Image
Select the 2D viewport and do one of the following:

Right-click the 2D viewport, click Zoom Out, hold down the mouse button, and drag the mouse out from the viewport center.

Press the minus sign (-)
Zooming out from a Scene
Select the 3D viewport and do one of the following:

Click Zoom Out in the Navigation toolbar, hold down the mouse button, and drag the mouse out from the viewport center.

Press the minus sign (-)
Zooming Images and Scenes to the Best Fit
Select the 2D or 3D viewport and do one of the following:

Choose Best Fit in the Navigation toolbar

Right-click the 2D viewport and choose Best Fit

Press CTRL and the plus sign (+)
Zooming Images and Scenes to their Standard View
Select the 2D or 3D viewport and do one of the following:

Choose Standard View in the Navigation toolbar.

Right-click the 2D viewport and choose Standard View.

Press the multiplication sign (*).
The image or scene is displayed in standard view in all viewports.
