Creating a New Document and Original

Context

Using ECTR, you can create a new document and open it. The new document is created from either an “Empty RH template” (creates a blank original), or an “Existing RH template” (creates an original with a selected local .rh file),

Procedure

  1. Choose Create a New original and document in SAP PLM, and open the original from the ECTR toolbar.
  2. Specify the required settings in the the SAP ECTR New Document window.
  3. Select the required DType and the required template, (local file).
  4. Choose OK to create a new original and document.

Results

A new document and original are created. The document is displayed in SAP ECTR in the active folder. The new original is opened in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author for editing.
