Style Tab Page

Use

The Style tab page in the Edit Callout Profile window is used to determine the general appearance of the callouts.

The Style tab page offers the following features:

Functional Description

Label

Determines the callout field that is displayed in the scene.

  • Callout ID: Creates callouts using the part ID.

  • Part Name: Displays the part name as defined in the Parts List. This name cannot be edited.

  • User-defined Name: Displays a user defined name. This name is the part name by default, and can be edited in the Callout Properties.

  • Part Metadata: Displays the selected part metadata values.

    • Edit: Determines the metadata to display and the way in which it is presented in the callout.

Label Sizes

Defines the size of the callouts.

  • Different Sizes: Displays the callouts as different widths, dependent on callout number.

  • Equal Sizes, Automatic: Displays the callouts as all the same width, equal to the maximum width of text in the callouts.

  • Minimum Size: Sets the minimum width of callouts to fit the characters entered in the Accommodate field.

  • Accommodate: Sets the callout width for callouts where the label size is set to Minimum Size.

Font

Opens the Font window and is used to set the font type, style, and size.

Always on Top

Draws the callouts on top of all the objects in the scene.

Style

Defines the style in which the callouts are displayed.

  • Rectangle: Displays each callout in a rectangular style.

  • Circle: Displays each callout in a circle style.

  • Text Only: Displays each callout as text only.

  • Outline Text: Displays each callout as text with an outline.

  • Clip Line by Ellipse: When checked, callouts that have Text only and Outline text styles are clipped using the 'circular' algorithm. Otherwise, they are clipped with a rectangle.

Color

Used to select the color in which to display the callouts.

  • Callout: Opens the color selector, and is used to select the color of the callout lines.

  • Text: Opens the color selector, and is used to select the color of the callout text.

  • Background: Opens the color selector, and is used to select the color of the callout background.

  • Opacity (%): Determines the opacity of the callout. Opacity is the opposite of transparency. As you reduce the opacity value, the callout becomes more transparent.
