Mesh Select Toolbar

Use

You can use the Mesh Select toolbar to select elements of a mesh. This toolbar includes vertices, faces, surfaces (co-planar faces), surface patches (separable mesh elements), and polylines. Specific materials can be dropped on selected faces, surfaces, or polylines, and selected faces or surfaces can also be deleted.

A right-click menu containing further options is available for mesh selection.

Features

Using the toolbar you can perform the following actions:

Toolbar Option

Functional Description
Select Mesh Vertex

Selects vertices on an object
Select Mesh Polygon

Selects faces on an object.
Select Surface

Selects surface on an object
Select Separate Mesh Element

Selects separable mesh elements (surfaces patches), based upon their part ID
Select Polyline

Selects polylines within the object

Activities

To open the toolbar, do one of the following:

  • On the Menu bar, choose Start of the navigation pathWindow Next navigation step Toolbars Next navigation step Mesh SelectEnd of the navigation path

  • Right-click the menu bar and choose Mesh Select

  • In the Customize Layout window, choose Toolbars and select theMesh Select checkbox
