Heal Model Settings Window

Use

You can modify these settings for the best results on specific models. That is, you can dictate to what extent various components of the model are used in healing.

Functional Description

Meshes

Used to establish mesh settings

  • Skip hidden meshes: Processes visible objects only

  • Combine faces to object: Combines several objects, in the lowest branch of the Scene tree, together to create one object. For example, one object has been imported as many parts. The healed objects have the suffix, _healed, appended to the text field.

  • Create new meshes: Creates new healed objects. The newly created objects reflect the structure of the existing objects and are displayed in the Scene tree.

  • Apply to Children: Apply the heal to all subobjects of the selected object

Healing Tolerances

Used to establish healing threshold settings. These values are displayed in percent and in units.

Vertices

Determines the maximum distance allowed between two vertices. Values under this threshold will result in the two vertices being joined. The percentage values are expressed as a percentage of the size of the object’s bounding box diagonal. The unit values are expressed as unit size based on those used by the model.

Edges

Determines the maximum distance allowed between a vertex and edge. If the distance is less than the threshold value then the vertex is collapsed into the edge. The percentage values are expressed as a percentage of the size of the object’s bounding box diagonal. The unit values are expressed as unit size based on those used by the model.
