Advanced Tab Page

Use

You can use the Advanced tab page to modify the scene shadow, a number of global display settings, and the scene colors.

The scene color settings for various elements including the scene bounding box, scene axes, and vertices, are displayed using the Navigation toolbar. Changing the color of an element affects all file formats. Note that the color can only be changed for elements that have been enabled in the original images or model.

Following are the different elements in different settings:

Elements

Functional Description

Shadow

Modifies the scene’s shadow settings. Note that the objects in the scene must cast and/or receive shadows for these settings to be applied.

  • Image Size: Used to select the resolution of the shadow.

  • Blur Radius: Determines how much to blur the edges of the shadows.

  • Double-Sided: Displays the shadow as double-sided

  • Opacity: Determines the opacity of the shadows in the scene

  • Scene Up Axis: Determines the positioning of the up axis

  • Position: Determines the positioning of the shadows in the scene.

    • Auto: Sets the shadow to the default positioning plane

    • Offset: Offsets the default position by a specified number in the custom position field

    • Absolute Position: Sets the shadow to the an absolute position

  • Custom Position: Determines the positioning of the shadows in the scene if the Position field is set to Offset or Absolute Position

  • Current Auto Position: Indicates the current positioning of the shadows in the scene

Environment

Modifies the scene’s environment attributes

  • Global Ambient Color: Opens the color selector and is used to select a color for the scene’s ambient color

  • Global Illumination Color: Opens the color selector and is used to select a color for the scene’s illumination color

High Dynamic Range

Modifies the scene’s high dynamic range settings

  • Environment Exposure: Controls the exposure of the environment

  • Environment Gamma: Controls the gamma correction value of the environment

  • Environment Rotation: Controls the rotation of the environment

  • Render Exposure: Increases or decreases the exposure of the entire image

  • Render Gamma: Sets the gamma correction value for display on the monitor
