Deleting a Partitioning Object

Context

You can delete partitioning object and tables assigned to the partitioning object.
Perform the following steps to delete a partitioning object. The delete operation has the following validations:
  • None of the tables assigned to the partitionong object should have partitioning ranges associated.
  • You can delete tables assigned to partitioning object if there are no partitioning ranges associated.

Procedure

  1. Choose Customizing for Partitioning (transaction DAGPTC).
  2. Choose Edit Partitioning Objects to display the list of partitioning objects that the SAP application provides. The Display View "Partitioning Object::Overview appears.
  3. Switch to change mode if you want to delete a partitioning object.
  4. Select the partitioning object.
  5. Choose Delete.
  6. Choose Save.
    You also can delete the tables assigned to the partitioning object.
