Creating References Between SWCVs

Prerequisites

  • You have created the reference SWCV (that is, the SWCV that you want to refer to).

  • You have created the referring SWCV.

Context

A software component version (SWCV) in the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) can refer to data objects and distribution models created in a different SWCV.

Procedure


  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver AS.

  2. In the Navigation pane, choose Start of the navigation pathData Orchestration Engine  Next navigation step Development  Next navigation step  Data Orchestration WorkbenchEnd of the navigation path.

  3. From the SWCV list, select the referring SWCV and choose Change .

  4. Choose the Uses tab.

  5. In the Caption column, select the SWCV that you want to refer to.

  6. To inherit the data objects from the referring SWCV, select the Inherit Data Objects indicator.

  7. To inherit the distribution models from the referring SWCV, select the Inherit DM indicator.

  8. Choose Save .
