Maintain Documentation in the F1 Help

Procedure

You can maintain document classes that are displayed in the F1 help (e.g. data element and message) directly from the help window. Irrespective of how the F1 help is displayed (in a modal or modeless window), you can call the function Maintain directly with the F7 key. Alternatively, in the modal help windowyou can press the right mouse button to obtain a list of the available functions and then select Maintain, or, in the modeless help viewer, you can press the corresponding pushbutton in the standard toolbar.

You get directly to the SAPscript editor for maintaining the displayed document. Once editing is complete, you return to the help display. To display the new version you need to call F1 help again.

This approach is recommended for testing and revising documentation. It also permits to create and maintain Data Element Supplements which are linked to the relevant input/output field on the specific screen where help was requested.
