The "Not Requiring Documentation" Flag
Procedure
Some objects do not require documentation. There can be several different reasons for this:
-
An object is temporarily not to be documented.
-
An object is described adequately by its short text.
-
A data element does not appear on any screen.
You can label such objects as "not to be documented". This flag locks objects so no documentation can be written for them. It also means that they are no longer considered as "undocumented" objects by the documentation management system in work lists and statistics.
This flag can be reset if required.
Setting the Indicator
To identify an object as not requiring documentation, proceed as follows:
-
Generate a list of undocumented objects (either as a generic list or as a worklist), which contains the object to be marked as not requiring documentation.
-
Position the cursor on the object to be marked.
-
Select one of these three functions:
-
Document Later
-
Self-Explanatory
-
Without Screen Reference
-
Removing the Indicator
