Comparison: Removing the By Easy Query Property or By OData Property

The following table provides an overview of the steps required to delete the gateway service of a query with property By Easy Query or with property By OData:

Step 1: Delete the gateway service with /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE.
  • Select the service
  • Delete the system assignment.
  • Delete the ICF node.
  • Delete the service.

Step 2: Remove the Per Easy Query property in Query Designer.

The system deletes the objects of the easy query.

 Step 2: Delete the query in Query Designer.

If the query had the By OData property and the gateway service was released, then the service can be used, regardless of whether the query property is removed. To delete the gateway service, you need to delete the query.
