Processing Applicant ActivitiesUse
Applicant activities document the various administrative stages through which applicants pass throughout the selection procedure. As the applicant activities are maintained, an administrative structure is created, and at the same time, the selection decisions are clearly depicted.
Activities for an applicant are always created and maintained for each individual application. Activities are partly created by the system and partly by you.
Integration
In the system settings for
Recruitment
, you can flag certain applicant activities that make it possible for applicant data to be transferred from
Recruitment
to
Personnel Administration
. Then, if you decide to hire the applicant, his or her data can be transferred to
Personnel Administration
.
Prerequisites
The applicant activities that are set up in your system depend on the way in which the application procedure is organized in your enterprise and the administrative steps that you want to follow.
Applicant activities that are carried out for all applicants (e.g.
Mail confirmation of receipt
) can be automatically created by the system. You can specify which applicant activities should be automatically generated in the system settings. You can also specify applicant activities that enable the creation of applicant correspondence or the transfer of applicant data to
Personnel Administration
.
Features
You can assign different applicant activities to individual applicants, depending on your interest in an applicant. In general, you will most likely assign and maintain more applicant activities over the course of the selection procedure to an applicant who has been narrowed down to the last few candidates for a vacancy.
Activities that are carried out for all applicants (such as
Mail confirmation of receipt
) are created automatically by the system when you perform an applicant action or change the applicant's overall status.
You can manually create planned activities and set the status of activities to
completed
. Activities that still need to be carried out are given the status
planned
.

If you foresee corresponding with applicants in the future, you must assign applicant activities to the relevant standard texts. You can use the following functions to administer applicant correspondence:
