Copy a Package Definition

You can copy a package definition from the list of package definitions.

Context

You use the Manage Packages app to copy a package definition.

Procedure

  1. Select the package definition that you want to copy.
  2. Choose Copy.
  3. Under the General Information tab, change at least one of the parameters to define the data entry environment for your reporting.
  4. If necessary, change the language for the description.
  5. If necessary, enter a description.

    A character limit of 60 characters applies to the Description field.

  6. Under the Data Entry Steps tab, add, move, or delete data entry steps as necessary.

    You must include at least one step, and you can add as many steps as you want.

  7. For each data entry step, select one or several lists of folders. You can enter as many folders as you want, move the folders up or down, and delete the folders.
  8. For each data entry step and list of folders, select the read document types and the write document type that are applied when entering data in the forms of these folders. You must select a write document type, but selecting a read document type is optional.
  9. Save the package definition.

Results

The package definition is saved and the packages are available in the Enter Package Data app.
