Display Cell Details

You can choose to display further information on the data in a cell.

This includes information such as the following:

  • Data as it is stored in the database

  • If there is a formula, the calculated amount and the syntax used in the formula

  • Values for each dimension and the display format that is applied to them

  • If there's a read-only cell, the reason why

  • If applicable, the writable document type

Read-Only Data

Data is read only in the following instances:

  • When a cell is defined as a read-only cell

  • For rows where a total is displayed or where you have aggregated data 

  • Where data is not authorized in SAP S/4HANA Cloud

  • Where a row is incomplete and includes dimensions with no values

  • When a document type isn't a writable document type

Writable Document Type

Where there are several document types aggregated in one cell, and there is at least one writable document type, the total amount can be updated. In this case, if you enter a new amount in this cell, the difference between the original amount and the new amount is stored on the writable document type.
