The Package Editor
When you select and open a package, the package opens in the package editor.
Select the package from the list of packages displayed and choose the Open icon. This opens the package in the package editor. The package editor contains a header, left pane, and right pane.
Header
The header includes the package details, local currency of the consolidation unit, actions, and other features that relate to the package as a whole.
Package Details
The package details are shown such as consolidation version, fiscal year, period, and consolidation unit. The local currency of the consolidation unit is also displayed.
Actions
You can choose Actions, and select the actions shown in the list such as Calculate Net Income or Validate Line Items, to complete the open tasks for that package.
Full Screen Mode
You can choose to display the form or the task on the entire screen using , or you can return to the normal screen using .
Close
Close the package using .
For any form you have made changes to but not yet saved, a warning message is displayed letting you know the package contains unsaved data.
Left Pane
Data entry steps are shown in the left pane on separate tabs. A step tab contains the sections assigned to that step. Sections include the following depending on data monitor tasks:

Data Release
This section contains one data release task from the data monitor.

Forms
This section contains folders with several data entry forms, where you can enter data.

Validations
This section contains line-item validation tasks from the data monitor.
Navigate through each form and task in the left pane to display them in the right pane.
Right Pane
As you navigate through the forms, within each step, in the left pane, a tab is opened on the right pane. You run the form to display that form in that tab. The tab in the right pane includes the document types, the Go button to run the form, and the form toolbar. Once you run the form, you can enter or change data in the form and save your changes.
Other tasks such as validations or data release can also be run from the right pane.
