Release Journal
As the release journal is a single task that is automatically assigned to all steps in the package, you can release the journal from any step in the package.
To release the journal from a step, complete the following:

Open a package.
Each step is shown on a separate tab in the left pane. Each step tab contains the sections assigned to that step. Sections include the following depending on data monitor tasks:

Data Release
This section contains one data release task from the data monitor.

Forms
This section contains folders with several data entry forms, where you can enter data.

Validations
This section contains line-item validation tasks from the data monitor.

Under the Data Release section, select the release journal task in the left pane to display the task in the right pane.

Run the release journal task.
Results
Once the Release Journal task is complete, the status is updated and you can choose the Display Log button to open the task log.
On successful completion of the Release Journal task, you should run the Line Items Validation task. The Line Items Validation task shows if there are other inconsistencies that did not show in the Release Journal task log.
