Tabs
You can split your mapping into steps.
To split a complex mapping into steps, you can add one or more tabs to your file: each tab corresponds to a mapping, and each mapping is a step.
Each step contains a subset of input dimensions and generates a subset of ACDOCU target dimensions. The process will consider the order of the sheets in the workbook to determine the steps.
Unlike mapping columns, there is no requirement regarding the sheets name. Templates provide a default name ("Mapping") as an example.
Tips
-
In your intermediary mappings, an input column is valid only if it matches the previous filters.
For example: In your first mapping, you've filtered FS items starting with A. In the following mapping, you can take FS items starting with A and ending with 0, but you can’t take FS items starting with B because you excluded them in your first mapping.
-
The same input dimension can be used in several mappings.
You can use the destination dimension of a mapping as a source dimension in another mapping.
-
You can build a mapping to import data for multiple versions, fiscal years, periods and combinations thereof in one go. Values defined in Global Parameters are then completed or overwritten with the ones specified in your mapping file.
-
You can deactivate a mapping file sheet by prefixing the sheet's tab name with a hash sign (#). When you put this sign in front of the sheet's tab name, the rules included in the sheet won't be triggered when running the job. If you choose to include the mapping file in the traceability log file, deactivated mapping file sheets are still included, too.
