Time and Version Dependency
A form can be run several times and if you change the periods, fiscal years, and versions each time you run the form, time and version dependent financial statement item master data can result in different financial statement (FS) items being selected.
If you choose selection by attribute, without defining attribute values in the Manage Forms app, when you run a form the system assigns financial statement items based on the period, fiscal year, and version that are entered in either the Set Global Parameters app or the Manage Packages app.
Example
FS item 172500 is defined with different data collection selection attribute values over time. Other current financial assets is assigned as the data collection selection attribute value for FS item 172500 from 012.2015 to 011.2017. From 012.2017 Other non-current financial assets is assigned as the attribute value.
In the Manage Forms app, you create a form and enter FS item as a dimension. In the first row, you enter the data collection attribute value Other current financial assets and in the second row, you enter Other non-current financial assets as the attribute value.
Next, you run the form in the Enter Package Data app. Based on the attribute values, the assignment of the FS items changes depending on the period and fiscal year. Therefore, in the form, for 012.2015 FS item 172500 is displayed under Other current financial assets and for 012.2017 the same FS item is displayed under Other non-current financial assets.
