Copy a Dynamic Link for a Form

In the Enter Package Data app, you can copy a dynamic link for the selected form.

Context

The link opens the form based on your global parameters, and these global parameters determine the package for the form. However, you can amend the link to use dimensions as variables instead of the global parameters. If you don't enter a variable for a dimension, your global parameters are used instead.

The following table outlines the variables for the dimensions that can be used in the link, and these dimensions are used to identify the package for a form:

You can add the link as a reference link to validation rules, which are used to verify data along the consolidation process, in the Define Validation Rules app in your SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud system. For more information on setting up reference links, see the following:

Procedure

  1. Launch the Enter Package Data app from the SAP Fiori launchpad.
  2. Choose the package that contains the form for which you want to copy the link.
  3. Select the form from the folders on the left.
  4. Choose the (Copy) icon.
  5. (Optional) If required, add a variable to the link by inserting the variable at end of the URL. For example, <generated_url>?Unit=XYZ&Ryear=2023.

Results

A link to the form is copied.
