Notify Users for a Single Job

From within a job, you can add the users to be notified about the status of the latest job run. These notifications can be sent via email and/or displayed in the SAP Fiori Launchpad.

Context

You can activate these notifications for scheduled jobs, jobs run manually (including test run), and jobs run with the Group Journal Entries – Import API.

Procedure

  1. Open the job for which you want notifications to be sent.
  2. Choose Edit.
  3. In the User Notifications section, select the Enable User Notifications checkbox.
  4. Choose Add.
  5. In the User to be Notified section, select the users to be notified.
  6. Select the status type for which you want the users to receive a notification:
    • Error: a notification is sent if the job run has stopped.

    • Warning: a notification is sent if the job run has a warning.

    • Success: a notification is sent if the job run is successful.

  7. Save the job.
    The user receives an invitation to turn on notifications. This invitation is displayed as a banner in the Run Data Mapping app and is also sent by email.
  8. As indicated in the banner and the invitation email, from the user actions menu, choose Start of the navigation pathSettings Next navigation step Notifications Next navigation step EnableEnd of the navigation path.

    If you want to disable notifications for GRDC Data Mapping runs, flip the Enable switch button.

  9. Choose Save.
