Use of Absence Rule Functions Restricted to Absence Time Types

You can now use absence rule functions only for absence time types. Absence rule functions can't be used with attendance time types, for example, to get attendance hours.

The following absence rule functions can't be used with attendance time types:
  • Get Absence Days()
  • Get Absence In Hours For Period()
  • Get Absence In Days For Period()
  • Get Absence In Days For Period Based On Calendar Days For Time Types()
  • Get Absence in Days For Period with Threshold()
  • Get Absence In Hours For Period For Time Types()
  • Get Completed Months Of Time Types In Period()
  • Get Absence In Days For Period Based On Working Days For Time Types()
  • Get Absence In Days For Period Based On Working Days For Time Types Excluding Weekdays()
  • Get Absence In Days For Period Based On Working Days For Leave Of Absence Time Types()
  • Get Number of Absences for Period for Time Types()
  • Is Consecutive Limit for Time Type Reached()

The use of absence rule functions with attendance time types led to errors in the system. We added this validation to prevent any unwanted exceptions.

What's Changed

A new error message is shown, "You're trying to use an absence rule function with a time type that isn't of the absence category. Check the rule function. Absence rule functions can only be used with absence time types."
How It Looks Now

In the current version, the system allows users to use only attendance rule functions with attendance time types.

In the previous version, the system allowed users to use absence rule functions with attendance time types. No error message was given.
