Editing Multilevel Cost EstimatesYou are in the Multilevel Unit Costing
screen. You reach this screen by choosing .
You can create a worklist so that frequently used data can quickly be accessed in multilevel unit costing. For more information, see Using Worklists.
Note
Some functions can be accessed both with the toolbar and with the right mouse button.
Choose .
Enter the necessary data, such as the material, plant and costing variant.
Enter the costing items in the list screen and save them together with the material cost estimate without quantity structure.
Edit the material cost estimate using multilevel unit costing. Insert items by dragging them from the worklist.
To copy a cost estimate that has been selected in the costing structure, choose .
To select and copy an existing material cost estimate, choose and enter the selection criteria.
Choose .
Note
You cannot change material cost estimates with quantity structure. You can only display them or use them as a reference for a material cost estimate without quantity structure.
Choose .
The dialog box Selection of material cost estimates
appears.
In the dialog box, enter selection criteria to search for the cost estimate.
Double-click on the cost estimate in the costing structure.
Edit the list screen of the unit cost estimate. Add or delete costing items as required. Choose
(Information on costing item
) to analyze further information, such as the cost element.
To display the cost estimate header information, choose
(Header
). From here, you can choose
(Information on Cost Estimate Header
) to analyze further information, such as the settings for the costing variant or the costing sheet.
Note
For material cost estimates with quantity structure, double-clicking takes you to the cost estimate display, not to the list screen of the unit cost estimate. For more information, see Analyzing the Results.
To display a cost estimate that has been selected in the costing structure, choose .
To display a material cost estimate with quantity structure, choose , then search for a material cost estimate in the dialog box.
To insert an item into the cost estimate from the worklist, drag the item from the worklist to the costing structure or to the list screen of the unit cost estimate. For more information, see Using Worklists.
In the costing structure, choose .
The screen Create Material: Initial Screen
appears.
Enter the necessary data, such as the material number and material type.
Create accounting and costing views, and save the material.

To move the costing structure upwards, choose .
To move the costing structure to the left, choose .
To display all items in the costing structure, choose .
To display only the material cost estimates, choose .
To remove a cost estimate from the costing structure, position the cursor on the cost estimate and choose Remove Cost Estimate
with the right mouse button.
To remove all cost estimates from the costing structure, position the cursor on the Costing Structure
node and choose Remove All Cost Estimates
with the right mouse button.
To search for a term in the costing structure, choose
(Find
).
To go to the print preview of the displayed or entire costing structure (all items), choose or Print preview of entire hierarchy
.
To print the displayed or entire costing structure, choose or Print entire hierarchy
.
You can change the layout to add or remove information.
