Blocking Reshare for a Business Partner

You can block reshare for a business partner that you do not want to share your objects with.

Context

You can use the blocking feature in the network to:
  • Maintain a list of blocked organizations in the network. You can add any other premiums and their invitees (premiums and invitees must be belonging to same virtual network) to this blocking list.

  • Blocked organizations will not receive any of your data when other business partners reshare your data.

  • You can directly share your data to the organizations in your block list. In this case, blocked organizations will receieve your data.

  • Blocking feature is enabled for premiums, freemiums, and invitees, that is, an invitee organization or a freemium or a premium organization can maintain the block list.

Example:

A, B, C, D are premiums in the network and have maintained the following block list:
Organization Blocked Organizations
A C, D
B A, C
C D
D None
E None
  • A cannot receive objects owned by B that is shared by business partners other than B.

  • B is not blocked.

  • C cannot receive objects owned by A that is shared by business partners other than A and C cannot receive objects owned by B that is shared by business partners other than B.

  • D cannot receive objects owned by A that is shared by business partners other than A and D cannot receive objects owned by C that is shared by business partners other than C.

  • E is not blocked.

The blocking feature works as follows for the authorization groups created by these business partners:
Authorization Group Owner of the Group Business Partners in the Group Block Feature
CA A B, C, D The owner A can not only add his own objects to the authorization group, but also objects shared by B and C. Since A is directly sharing objects, C can access objects owned by A. But C cannot access the objects owned by B, and D cannot access the objects owned by C as that is reshared by A in this group.
CB B A, C The owner B can add objects owned by him to circle CB and he can also add objects shared by A to this authorization group. But C cannot access the objects owned by A as that is reshared by B in this group.
CC C A, B, D The owner C can add objects owned by him to the authorization group CC and he can also add objects shared by B to this group. But A cannot access the objects owned by B as that is reshared by C in this group.
CD D E The owner D can add his objects and other dependent objects (owned by A, B, C, D,E) to this authorization group and E gets access to all these objects as E is not blocked by anyone.
