Creating a Notification

Create a notification for equipment or functional location.

Prerequisites

You must have a minimum authorized role of NOTIFICATION_EDIT or NOTIFICATION_DELETE.

Context

This procedure is for creating a notification using the Notifications app. Alternatively, you can create a notifications for the associated equipment or functional location using New Notification option available in the popup dialog when you click on the equipment or functional location link in the Work Orders application.

Procedure

  1. Open the Notifications app.
  2. Click Start of the navigation pathNew Next navigation step  EquipmentEnd of the navigation path or Start of the navigation pathNew Next navigation step  Functional LocationEnd of the navigation path depending on your requirement.
  3. Select or enter the notification details in the New Notification dialog.
    1. Click the ID field and select the corresponding equipment or functional location.
    2. Click Assign.
  4. Select Notification Type and Priority.
  5. Enter the Description and other optional fields as required and click Create.
