AML Import for Model Creation

AML is a standardized data exchange format that is used in the context of product engineering. To use the information stored in engineering systems, in the context of asset management and the operation phase of such assets the Manage AML app can be used. AML files are mapped to the model business object in SAP Asset Intelligence Network.

To import an AML file containing model information into SAP Asset Intelligence Network, you need to perform three steps:

  1. Create and upload a matching transformation configuration file to your tenant by using the AML Configurations app.

  2. Upload the AML file to your tenant using the Manage AML app.

  3. Configure a job and run the transformation in the Manage AML app.
