Completing a Request

You perform this task to provide a model suggestion to a model request created by a requester.

Context

As a provider, you have a request assigned to you that requires solution by the requester.

Procedure

  1. Open the Requests application.

    The system displays the Request window with a list of existing requests.

  2. Choose a request from the <Requests> list, or search for a request that you want to resolve.
  3. To process the model request, choose <In Process>.
    1. To provide a solution for the request, recommend model against each equipment or model for a model request. You can also add comments, if required. You can also add documents under Provider's Documents.

      As a provider when recommending a model for a request, you can also create a new model using the Create button in the Start of the navigation pathRecommend Model Next navigation step Select ModelEnd of the navigation path dialog box.

    2. Choose <Set to Completed>.

      • To request additional information from the requester, choose <Author Action>.

      • To reject the request as an invalid request, choose <Set to Rejected>.

      Once the status is completed, the system checks if the recommended models are shared or not with the requester.  The provider is prompted to share them with other involved stakeholders.

      Share option is mandatory. Select Yes, for a list of groups to be prompted and choose the relevant group for sharing the object.

  4. To process equipment request, choose the submitted request. Choose the Edit button.
    1. In the Equipment section, choose Assign under Provided Equipment column.
    2. In the Select Equipment dialog box, select the equipment from the list
    3. Choose Assign.

    In the Select Equipment dialog box, you can also use the Create button to create a new equipment. You can fill the relevant details in the Set Equipment dialog box and choose Save.

  5. Choose Save.
  6. Choose <Set to Completed>.

    • To request additional information from the requester, choose <Author Action>.

    • To reject the request as an invalid request, choose <Set to Rejected>.
