Managing associated documents

Assign, remove, or download existing documents, add new documents associated with a work order or a notification using the respective application.

Prerequisites

For accessing the applications, you must have a minimum authorized role of WORKORDER_READ or NOTIFICATION_READ.

Context

Procedure

  1. Open the respective application: Work Orders or Notifications.
  2. Select the object for which you want to view the associated documents.
  3. Select the Documents section to view the relevant documentation available for the object.
  4. Click on the document link to preview a document.
  5. To assign an existing document, select Start of the navigation pathAdd Next navigation step  AssignEnd of the navigation path.

    Alternatively, you can use the Documents application to add new documents and assign them to work orders and notifications using the respective applications.

  6. To add new documents, select one of the following options depending on your document type.
    1. Start of the navigation pathAdd Next navigation step  Add ImageEnd of the navigation path.
    2. Start of the navigation pathAdd Next navigation step  Add DocumentEnd of the navigation path.
    3. Start of the navigation pathAdd Next navigation step  Add LinkEnd of the navigation path.
  7. To remove a document assignment, select the documents to remove and click Remove.
  8. To download documents, select the documents and click Download.

    Alternatively, you can also download a document by clicking More and then using the Download option in the Files dialog.
