Assigning a Model to an Instruction

You can assign a model to an instruction so that the operator can use the instruction information for the items of equipment that are based on the model.

Prerequisites

  • Your user ID has the roles INSTRUCTION_DELETE or INSTRUCTION _EDIT assigned.

  • You have identified the instruction to which you want to assign a model (see Creating an Instruction)

  • You have ensured that the instruction in question is in Unpublished or In Revision states.

  • You have identified a model that you want to assign to the instruction (see Creating a Model).

Context

The following procedure applies to all types of instructions. For simplicity, we only describe the planned instruction procedure.

Procedure

  1. Open the Instructions app.
  2. In the Instructions screen, search for an instruction using the filters –Instruction Type, Activity, Status, or Model Name and choose Edit.
  3. In the Start of the navigation pathInstructions Next navigation step ModelsEnd of the navigation pathsection, choose Assign and select a model.
  4. In the Select Models dialog box, search for a model using the search filters Manufacturer.
  5. From the search results list, select a model using the check box and choose OK.
