Use

In application Customizing, you can adapt the settings for implementing the archiving sessions for each archiving object.

Features

You define technical values for the archiving session, such as name, path, and maximum size of the archive file in Basis Customizing.

You can make the following settings using application Customizing:

You cannot archive master data across all clients.

At plant level, you define the residence times for master data.

You make settings for the delete program. These include:

Determining whether the archiving program should run in test mode or production mode

Determining whether the delete program should be started automatically after archiving
