Configuring the Receiver System to Process IDocs

Prerequisites

  • You have configured the resource adapter and JCA connection factory in SAP NetWeaver Administrator.

    To configure these entities, you have to have a user that belongs to the NWA_SUPERADMIN role.

  • To configure and operate Java IDoc processing on the receiver business systems, you must have a user account with profile S_ENTWBC

  • The receiver business systems must be registered in the system landscape directory.

  • The software component version SAP BASIS 7.30 in the Enterprise Service Repository (ESR) of the SAP Process Integration system contains the correct adapter metadata (AMD) of the Java IDoc adapter. You must ensure that this software component exists in the corresponding ESR.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the receiver business system.
  2. Create a port to the receiver system.

  3. Create an RFC destination for the receiver system on the adapter engine using NWA.

  4. Create a logical system entry to the receiver system.
