New or changed features are available in SAP Data Warehouse Cloud version 2021.24.
Data Integration
-
SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP BW Bridge
SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP BW bridge enables you to use SAP BW functionality in the public cloud, and to import SAP BW bridge data models into SAP Data Warehouse Cloud.
For more information, see Importing Entities with Semantics from SAP BW∕4HANA or SAP BW Bridge.
-
On-Premise Microsoft SQL Server databases as Sources for Data Flows
You can now use Cloud Connector to enable Microsoft SQL Server databases from your local network as sources for data flows. With using Cloud Connector, the previous restriction that Microsoft SQL Server connections are only available for data flows if the database is installed outside the customer's firewall is removed.
For more information, see Microsoft SQL Server Connections.
-
Advanced Properties for SAP BW, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA On-Premise Connections
The connection types provide additional, advanced properties which you can use when you've enabled the connections for building views and accessing data with remote tables. The properties provide default values that you can override according to your customer scenario’s needs.
For more information, see SAP BW Connections, SAP ECC Connections, and SAP S/4HANA On-Premise Connections.
Data Modeling
-
Create a filter to load only the data that is needed for your remote table
In the remote table editor of the Data Builder, you can now define filter conditions to reduce the volume of data that is loaded.
For more information, see Restrict Remote Table Data Loads.
-
Save and deploy your data flow before run
You can now deploy your data flow before the changes to the data flow get active for execution. With this, you will be able to save draft version of your data flow without affecting the execution. For more information, see Creating a Data Flow
