New Features in Version 2022.21

New or changed features are available in SAP Data Warehouse Cloud version 2022.21.

Data Integration

  • Connection Type for SAP HANA, Data Lake Files

You can now create connections to access data from the Files component of standalone SAP HANA, data lake and use these connections in data flows.

For more information, see SAP HANA Cloud, Data Lake Files Connections.

Data Marketplace

  • Deactivating and Deleting Data Products

It is now possible for data providers to deactivate and delete data products if they fulfill certain conditions. Before it was only possible to delist them.

For more information, see Deleting a Data Product.

  • New Product Lifecycle States

With the new lifecycle functions Deactivate and Delete the following product lifecycle states are introduced as well: Deactivated and Deleted.

SAP has the option to block products from the Data Marketplace in cases of non-compliance or pending disputes. Products that are affected by this action are indicated with the status Blocked.

For more information, see Managing your Data Product's Lifecycle.

  • New section Usage Overview on the data product's details page

In the new section Usage Overview data providers can find recent and overall numbers on active and expired licenses, activations and updates. The numbers are helpful to data providers when they want to know more about the usage of their data products. Data providers need these number also when they want to clean their product portfolio and delete data products from it.

For more information, see Managing your Data Product's Lifecycle.

Data Modeling

  • Refresh Remote Tables Structure

By refreshing your remote table structure from the Data Builder, if new columns exist in the data source, you can select those that need to be added to your remote tables.

For more information, see Process Source Changes in the Table Editor.

  • Language Support (Latvian and Estonian)

SAP Data Warehouse Cloud now supports Latvian and Estonian in its menus, buttons, messages, and other elements of the user interface.

    • -sd (--definitions) is now capitalized to -D
