Business Modeling

• Currency Conversion

  In the Business Builder, you can now convert currency values into another currency for business entities and consumption models.

Data Integration

• Download of task logs

  In the Data Integration Monitor, task logs have been enhanced: A download link will appear against a message only in case it contains more information that can’t be displayed in the monitor. You can then download the log to perform deeper analysis on what has happened with your task.

• SAP BW Bridge

  Several new features are available for SAP BW bridge:

  • Remote Conversion

    Using remote conversion, you can now transfer data models with data from SAP BW systems to SAP BW bridge. The Transfer Cockpit supports you in migrating selected data models into an SAP BW bridge tenant and to perform a remote data transfer into that tenant.

    As a prerequisite, you need to install the DMIS add-on for your on-premise SAP BW or SAP BW∕4HANA system.

  • Mass activation of objects in BW Modelling Tools

    In the BW Modeling Tools, you can now activate multiple objects at once without requiring individual activation steps and sequences. The following objects are supported:

    • InfoObjects

    • DataStore objects

    • CompositeProviders

    • Transformations

    • Data transfer processes

  • Custom process type in process chains

    You can now implement your own simplified process type. This enable you to execute your own ABAP code using a process chain.

  • Scheduling of process chains

    You can now schedule and unschedule process chains.

  • DTP Monitor

    The DTP Monitor app offers you new functions. You can now get more information on red packages.

  • Simulating DTPs

    You can now simulate the data update of a DTP request to help you to analyze an incorrect DTP request. You can also simulate a transformation prior to the actual data transfer.

Data Marketplace

• Enhanced Space Selection

  This release simplifies the selection of a space. Data Providers will find this enhanced function in the Create Data Product screen, while consumers will find it in the Load Data Product screen.

  When you click on the new icon which you can find next to the space input field, you will get a list with all spaces you have access to. Now you can select the space easily from the list. If you prefer to type the name of the space, you will receive auto-suggests while typing.

Data Modeling

• Improved SAC Time-Series Chart: Time Dimensions' Day Names Become Day Numbers

  Time dimensions' day names are replaced by corresponding day numbers of the month. For example, the time dimension for Monday, the 7th of November 2022 will show "7" instead of "Monday". This increases SAP Data Warehouse Cloud's alignment with SAP Analytics Cloud. You will still be able to show day names in SAP Analytics Cloud via table's properties. Existing time dimensions won't be affected by the change and will need to be refreshed.

• Modeling after a union

                         

  Your modeling capabilities have been enhanced as you can now add any node(s) after a union node in the Graphical View editor.

• Modify Column Data Type for JSON and Excel files

  If a source in your data flow is a JSON or Excel file, you can now change the data type of a column and modify its corresponding properties.

• Fail on String Truncation in Data Flow

  You can now choose to fail a data flow run if string truncation is detected while fetching the source columns.
