New Features in Version 2022.22

New or changed features are available in SAP Data Warehouse Cloud version 2022.22.

Administration

  • Displayed Number of Remaining Days Before Expiration of Free-Plan Tenant

When you’re using a consumption-based tenant with a free plan, the number of remaining days before the 90-day expiration is now displayed in the top panel of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud. This enables you to know how many days remain before you can update your free-plan tenant to a standard plan.

For more information, see Creating and Configuring Your SAP Datasphere Tenant and Update Your Free Plan to Standard Plan in SAP BTP.

Data Integration

  • Additional substatus log message information provided for failed task runs

In addition to monitor user interface enhancements provided in previous releases, the monitor tab displays for remote table replication, view persistency, data flow, and task chain runs now provide additional substatus log message detail for failed task runs.

For more information, see Navigating in the Monitor Tabs.

Data Modeling

  • Revised Data Preview in Graphical and SQL View Editor

A number of enhancements are available in the data preview:
    • There is no limit to a maximum of 1,000 lines anymore. Instead, the preview header indicates the total number of rows that can be displayed by scrolling down.

    • You can now show, hide, sort, and filter on multiple columns by clicking (Columns Settings).

    • Handling of input parameters has improved in the Graphical View editor, Table Editor, and SQL View editor. You can click the input parameter strip to change the input parameter values.

    • To avoid long loading times, you will now receive a warning message for non-replicating remote tables.

For more information, see Viewing Object Data.

  • Data Preview Timeout

To provide a more consistent experience and reduce loads on remote systems, the Data Builder data preview now times out if it is unable to return data within three minutes. When previewing a remote table or view, guidance is given to the user to improve response times by enabling replication or persistence, removing unnecessary columns, and enabling filters.

For more information, see Viewing Object Data.

Space Management

  • Locking Spaces to Avoid Audit Logs from Consuming Too Much Disk Storage

Up to now, a space was automatically locked when it exceeded its allocations of in-memory or disk storage. In addition, certain spaces are now automatically locked when audit logs consume a high amount of GB of the tenant disk.

Also, if you have a Space Administrator role, you can now manually lock a space.

For more information, see Unlock a Locked Space.
