New Features in Version 2022.6

New or changed features are available in SAP Data Warehouse Cloud version 2022.6.

Data Integration

  • Use OAuth 2.0 Authorization for Secure Access to OData Services

You can now use authentication type OAuth 2.0 with Generic OData and SAP SuccessFactors for Analytical Dashboard connections to increase security when authorizing SAP Data Warehouse Cloud to connect to OData services. Generic OData supports the OAuth 2.0 client credentials flow whereas SAP SuccessFactors for Analytical Dashboards supports the SAML bearer assertion flow. For new connections, OAuth 2.0 becomes the default authentication type.

  • Enable Model Import for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Connections

To allow importing entities from SAP S/4HANA Cloud with the new import wizard, you can now enable the Model Import feature for SAP S/4HANA Cloud connections.

For more information, see SAP S/4HANA Cloud Connections.

  • SAP BW Bridge

Several new features are available for SAP BW bridge:
    • To ease the transition from SAP BW to the SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, you can now transfer data models from SAP BW or SAP BW∕4HANA to SAP BW bridge via shell conversion. This is supported for SAP BW 7.3x, 7.40, and 7.50 and for SAP BW∕4HANA 2021. Shell conversion can be used to transfer metadata such as DataStore objects, InfoObjects, transformations, and Data Transfer Processes. It does not include the transfer of existing data sets. After the transfer, you can load data from the original source systems, the SAP BW system, or the SAP BW∕4HANA system.

For more information, see 3141688 Information published on SAP site.

    • For replicating source systems, you can now replicate the DataSources in the BW Modeling Tools.

For more information, see Executing Replication.

    • You can now manually upload currencies, units and fiscal year variants from another SAP system to your SAP BW bridge system.

For more information, see Transferring Global Settings for Currencies, Measures and Fiscal Year Variants from an SAP System.

    • You can now manually upload exchange rates for currencies from another SAP system to your SAP BW bridge system.

For more information, see Transferring Exchange Rates for Currencies from SAP Systems.

Data Modeling

  • Restrict Data Loads on Remote table

You can restrict data loads on remote tables that use an SDI ABAP or SDI CDI Adapter.

For more information, see Restrict Remote Table Data Loads.

  • Import SAP S/4HANA Entities

You can now import existing entities from SAP S/4HANA Cloud into SAP Data Warehouse Cloud in order to build new models on top of them or enhance them.

For more information, see Importing Entities with Semantics from SAP S/4HANA.

  • Python 3.9 Support for Script Operator in Data Flow

The Python script operator is now offering support for data manipulation and vector operations via support for the builtins (version 3.9), NumPy (version 1.21.5), and Pandas (version 1.2.5) modules.

For more information, see Script Operator Python Reference.
