[IMPORTING] root TYPE I

Registry root key to use.

Possible values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (0)

  registry key is in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT section

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER (1)

  registry key is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER section

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (2)

  registry key is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section

• HKEY_USERS (3)

  registry key is in HKEY_USERS section

[IMPORTING] key TYPE STRING

String containing name (including path from root key) to parent registry key.

[IMPORTING] value_name TYPE STRING

Name of registry string value to set.

[IMPORTING] value TYPE STRING

String value to set.

[EXPORTING] rc TYPE I

Return code specifying whether the registry value was set successfully or not.

Possible values:

• 1

  the registry value could not be set

• 0

  the registry value was set successfully

CNTL_ERROR

Thrown if neither Windows nor Java nor Web GUI is being used or the corresponding front end method could not be called.

ERROR_NO_GUI

Currently not used.

NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_GU

Raised if Java or Web GUI is being used.
