The multi-rule editor

You should use the Multi-Rule Editor when you want to work on several rule scripts at the same time. When rules are interdependent it can be useful to contrast and compare their instructions. The Multi-Rule Editor is opened as an addition to the Rules Manager screen, where it appears in the right-hand pane.

Double-click any item in the Dimension Item hierarchy, and it appears as an additional tab in the editor pane with detail fields - Dimension, Rule Type, Item Name, and Rule Description — specifying its identity. The edit box at the bottom of the tab displays the rule script. It can be expanded for ease of use and contains the editor context menu options.

Save and Close buttons are provided at the bottom right of the screen that relate to the currently selected rule. These are also available in a context menu accessed in the top part of the tab, which additionally provides Save All and Close All options.

You can validate your rules with the Syntax Check and Run Rule buttons.
