iView Functions for Orders

Use

The Business Package for Maintenance Technician includes functions for maintenance or service orders. You can create, display, and change orders.

For example, you can use the following functions for the maintenance roles:

  • Create orders with and without reference to a notification

  • Create orders from the Structure Display and from the Work Overview.

  • Edit orders (for example, change object affected, revise description, set status)

  • Set orders to “in work” or complete them technically

  • Print orders together with the notifications assigned to them

  • Display the latest notifications and orders for a piece of equipment or functional location (see Object Information )

  • Check material availability

  • Select material components using web-based catalogs, the structure list or assemblies

  • Assign employees to the operations in the order change mode

  • Select new operations from task lists

  • Display relationships between operations

  • You can use After-Event Order Recording to document unforeseen and urgent maintenance work by creating an order and confirming in the same work step.

Prerequisites

You can assign a notification type to an order type, which is used when you create a notification in the order. You make these settings in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service by choosing Start of the navigation path Maintenance and Service Processing Next navigation step Maintenance and Service Orders Next navigation step Functions and Settings for Order Types Next navigation step Define Notification and Order Integration End of the navigation path .

Select Notification so that you can also enter or display notification data in the order header.

Optional Settings

You can influence the display of the fields for each order type, for example, by specifying which fields are hidden or displayed. To do this, call up the Web Dynpro application in test mode for administrators in the ERP system and choose CTRL+secondary mouse button . Example

This function is implemented as an example for the following order types:

  • PM03: Maintenance order/notification

  • PM01: Create maintenance order
