Creating a Model Calculation

Use

You create a model calculation as the basis for a loan contract. You can create up to 99 model calculations per business partner. A model calculation can cover several alternative versions that you can compare. If the interested party returns to the branch to transfer the model calculation into an application, contract offer or contract after you have entered the model calculation in the system, you can find the model calculation on the basis of the business partner, for example by searching for the name and first name or the business partner number. If you transfer the model calculation into a contract, the version of the model calculation selected becomes part of the contract. You can use the same model calculation to create several applications, offers and contracts.

For more information see the Structure section in Consumer Loan

Prerequisites

  • In the IMG activity Define Product Types you need to have defined at least one product type, based on the product category Consumer Loan (340).

  • You need to have created at least one product that is activated, valid and assigned to the product type.

You define Products in the SAP Easy Access screen under Current Settings .

  • You need to have created at least one condition table that is activated, valid and assigned to the product.

You define Condition Tables in the SAP Easy Access screen under Current Settings .

Procedure

  1. In the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Loans Management Next navigation step New Business Next navigation step Consumer Loan Next navigation step Edit. End of the navigation path

  2. Enter the company code and choose Start of the navigation path Loans Next navigation step Create. End of the navigation path

  3. Specify the product on which you want to base the loan.

  4. Specify an existing business partner for the interested party. If a suitable business partner does not exist, create one using the input help.

    Note Note

If you create a business partner, ensure that you have selected a product first. You do not have to make any additions to the business partner later on.

If you already know the business partner number, you can enter this using the context menu for the Partner field.

    End of the note.
  5. Enter the loan amount required by the interested party.

  6. Enter either the required amount or the number of payment installments.

  7. Enter a note to payee and the day of the month on which the installment payment is to be made.

  8. If the loan is to be secured by a credit life insurance policy, add the data for the credit life insurance and specify whether in addition to the event of death the policy is also to cover occupational disability and/or unemployment.

The main loan partner is always one of the persons insured. The system proposes the data for the insurance policy from the Business Partner.

If you want to conclude the insurance policy for other persons, you only need to enter the gender and date of birth of these persons at this point. Only when you create a loan from the model calculation (status Application, Contract Offer or Contract ) do you need to assign or create a suitable business partner.

If the business partner for the borrower is a group of two persons, such as a married couple, the system proposes the data for both persons from the business partner. Only when you create a loan from the model calculation (status Application, Contract Offer or Contract ) do you need to specify which of the two is the insured party.

For more information, see Processing credit life insurance .

If the borrower does not require a life insurance policy, make sure that there is no tick in the CLI column for the loan.

    Note Note

Some products do not specify a credit life insurance policy so you cannot enter a credit life insurance policy when you create the model calculation.

Some products require a credit life insurance policy so you must enter this when you create a model calculation.

    End of the note.
  9. Choose Execute Model Calculation .

If you have not entered or confirmed the Condition-Determining Parameters within this log-on in the system, a dialog box appears in which you enter your organization unit and sales channel and choose Continue .

You can create several versions of the model calculation by changing one or more parameters and choosing Carry Out Model Calculation again. The last model calculation to be carried out each time is always the current version.

  10. Save your entries .

Result

You have created a model calculation for the interested party.

You can print out the versions of the model calculation and give it to the interested party to take home with them.

You can use the model calculation as a basis for an application, a contract offer or a contract, depending on the status transfers permitted in your system.
